What are the different types of certifications I can earn from Blue Skies?
Blue Skies offers lessons to become a certified recreational or private pilot.
How long will it take to become a certified pilot?
To earn your private pilot license, you must complete at least 40 hours of flying, but you can earn your recreational license in as little as 30 hours.
What are the differences between a recreational and a private license?
A private pilot license allows you to fly with more passengers and reduces your time restrictions. For more details, view the Training and Lessons section.
What aircraft will I be certified to fly?
You will be certified to fly small aircraft. At Blue Skies, we train using a Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Piper Warrior, and a Piper Tomahawk.
Are there certain physical or medical conditions I need to be aware of?
Not really, however pilots should be in good physical health and able to handle the very rare incidents that may occur during a flight.
How safe is it?
Safer than driving a car. Plus, Blue Skies has a perfect safety record with no accidents in its 21 year history.
